Cremations
Cremation provides families with numerous options for a final resting place. At Sewardstone we offer the interment of ashes in a marked plot or the scattering of ashes in our Stumpery Garden.
With plans for our own dedicated crematorium underway, we currently use a nearby crematorium with whom we have close links.
Should you choose cremation, we will convey the coffin to our trusted crematorium for cremation. We will then return the ashes to Sewardstone for you to collect, and bury or scatter as you wish.
You may wish to hold a service before or after cremation, or even both. We can perform a full funeral service in our dedicated hall before cremation. We can also support you in hosting a memorial service with or without the urn present.
Sites for ash burial in Daws Meadow include lawn and wooded sections, to help you choose the area best suited to your loved one.
Our areas for interment can be memorialised with a wooden engraved plaque and a small vase. We supply a thoughtful range of biodegradable urns which you can purchase to hold the ashes.
The Sewardstone stumpery garden provides a peaceful and serene setting for those who wish to scatter ashes.
Regardless of your faith, beliefs or cultural practices, we offer the flexibility to celebrate the life of your loved one and choose a final resting place in the way they would have wished.
Losing someone too soon is probably the hardest thing I have had to deal with however, Claudette and Rita were professional, understanding and compassionate. They made the process, personal and seamless which made it much easier to deal with. I would recommend Sewardstone Park Cemetery in a heart beat and to top it off, my beloved sister rests in the most beautiful setting.
